Privacy Statement and Compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

As a professional freelance translator, I take your right to privacy extremely seriously. You are free to use this website entirely anonymously. I will not record your visits unless you contact me with a request to discuss my services, and I do not use Cookies. I will not share your personal data with anyone unless required to do so by law, a regulator or a court of competent jurisdiction. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and follow its guidelines. I also follow the guidelines set out in the ITI’s Guide to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any data I do keep will be stored in my own home-based, private non-networked personal computer, which is also password protected. This will be for admin purposes, some of which I am legally required to keep for seven years, or for insurance purposes, but files will be anonymised. Any data I do keep will be deleted after seven years. Please feel free to contact me at any time to find out what data I hold on you, and for what purposes. I will respond without delay. This policy will be reviewed and updated as and when necessary.
